Why am I writing this?

A little more about me…

Hello, everyone!

My name is Jamie. I live in the central part of Wisconsin, United States of America. I love to write and paint master pieces of artwork. I was homeschooled and went to college for a double major in creative writing and fine art, which I finished within four years time. An advisor at the school told me that I couldn’t do it in four years it had to be done in six. Well, when you buckle down and work summers as well it can be done in four years, people.

Now I am attending a better University and am working on earning my Master’s degree in creative writing. I am still working on my art. There is no way I will be letting that creativity go to waste. Working with watercolors is my favorite medium, but I will work with acrylic; just warning you though, if you ever decide to start painting the acrylic paint does dry fast while you are applying it to the canvas. If you don’t know or understand what I am saying, please, I am begging you don’t feel bad. I can’t understand my brother when he is talking about cars, computers, and graphics design. Than, there is my sister who looses me with the words French knot or was it French seam??? Ah, well as long as she knows what she is talking about, that’s all that really matters. So, as long as you know what you are talking about and looking for I hope you find, if I’m not the one writing it. I certainly hope that you find the person who is.

To Inspire

I’m always writing a story in my head.

The above quote is a little inspiration that I found on Pinterest while I was scrolling, no judging. We’ve all scrolled through this amazing app on our phones, finding DIY projects in the hopes that it will save a little money, or using it as a guide for dressing, or helping us choose a hairstyle. Anyway, we are not here to discuss Pinterest, which is a very useful tool in more ways than one.

Why am I writing this?

  • To give you new material to read. Who knows you might even have some new inspiration.
  • Because having an audience will help me to improve my writing.
  • And, I want learn to keep a blog.

This journey of blogging only started because it was one of my homework assignments this week, and for the next year I will be blogging and keeping up with it. Though it is an assignment, I hope to learn from this experience and what you as the reader(s) might have to say in helping me to grow and interact within this new writing field.

I hope you find what you are searching for! 🙂
